Antibiotic Insurance Coordinator
Quick Apply Full-time 1 hour ago Full Job Description Metro Infectious Disease Consultants is seeking a Full-Time Insurance Coordinator who will be responsible for verifying benefits and obtaining insurance approvals with insurance plans for antibiotic medications.
Your daily tasks will include verifying benefits, sending prior authorizations to insurance plans, checking status of submitted authorizations, communicating with nurses the patient's benefits/patient's responsibility for services, completing patient's financial responsibility forms when necessary.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8:
30am-5:
00 pm in-person in Burr Ridge, IL Duties:
Perform benefit investigations for new and existing patients.
Submitting prior authorizations via portals, fax, or phone Checking status on prior authorizations with insurance providers or extending existing authorizations already on file Working directly with nursing on the patients benefits/coverage Answering phone calls regarding status checks, insurance coverage questions, and other patient questions Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Medical Insurance experience preferred Must have good multitasking skills and the ability to work well with others.
Strong oral and interpersonal skills Organizational skills required Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience CPR
experience preferred COVID-19 Vaccination (with booster if second vaccination has surpassed the 6-month timeframe) Job Type:
